PARKING BRAKE MAYHEM

Here's a good testament to making sure you're brake is set. Gentleman pulled the brake and got out of his Audi. The car rolled backwards and ended up halfway off this wall. He apparently didn't pull it up hard enough.

This wall was not a secure wall. The blocks in it are just stacked with no cement to hold them together. We needed a way to lift it directly up off the wall so the wall wouldn't collapse at the same time, preventing any further damage to the Audi

Since the vehicle was too high to grab the rear wheels in the wheel lift of the wrecker or slip the flatbed under it, we decided a shortened version of the Cruse loop be employed. Running the strap over the back seat and through the doors, we were able to position it so it lifted directly up on the rear wheels. Then by extending the boom of the wrecker, we were able to set it back on top of the wall. It was then loaded onto a flatbed and transported to an Audi dealer for repairs.

As usual, we did no further damage to the vehicle during the recovery and transport. The customer said we make it look easy!

We'll take that a s a compliment! Enjoy the pics!
